Oak is having a comeback in home decor.  New stains and finishes are creating a love for oak all over again.  Remember those yellow oak tables, or that kitchen you are dying to update?  Consider a driftwood technique, or a whitewash finish. For furniture how about updating those wonderful lines of that blonde mid century dresser with some of the new gel stains. 

 We recently took a tried yellow oak table and updated it with a driftwood technique, similar to the high end Restoration Hardware look so coveted by designers.  So before you tear out those cabinets or throw out that table consider all the options and fall in love with oak again.
